How to feather the edges of images
First, lets set up and get the image in the box.
Now select the NEW image and press CTRL A, this select the entire image.
Select the new image box and press CTRL V to paste it into the box.
 Use the Move tool to place the image in your happy place
You will now see in the layers box in the lower left that we have both images stacked on top of each other, You can hide the image layers by click clicking on the eye icon.
Let's get rid on the original image in our box
We now want to save the image, you can use the Layers file selection at the top and "Merge All Layers" to flatten the image or do a File/Save as and save as the file type you want, normally .jpg.
You might have to play around doing a few of these to get the consistent effect you want.
