Logging in to your site is simple, you just add "cpanel" (sans quotes) to the end of your domain name.
i.e. www.yourdomainname.com/cpanel
You will be required to login with your sites username and password (do not change this password, it will deactivate your site)
Let's explore the most used sections of the cpanel, remember, you CAN do some damage to your site here.
It is NOT a place to press buttons just to see what they do.
The first four sections of the cPanel, Preferences, Mail, Files and Logs are the only sections you should have need to make changes.
Videos
Set up Email
Files
Logs
What is really nice about the current version of cPanel is that there are videos for many often used tasks.

Mail Section
To set up or work with your email, please se the section above and watch the video for the email module.

File Section
The file section will allow you to browse the files on you server.
A word of caution, deleting, renaming or moving any files will have an immediate impact on your web site.
Below I will explain the icons and functions of each.
Backups - You may save a backup copy of your site and/or database to your local hard drive. This will be a compressed file. The host also runs continuous backups of the server so no data over 12 hours is ever lost.
Backup Wizard - This will walk you through backing up your site
File Manage - Allows you to browse the files in your account
Legacy File Manage - the old version of File Manage
Web Disk - The Web Disk allows you to easily drag and drop files to your hosting account. You can create a Web Disk login and access your Web Disk below. Once your Web Disk is configured, you can then drag and drop files to it just like they are part of your home computer. You can also navigate through the files in your hosting account just as you do the files on your local computer.
There is Video Tutorial of this function once you click the Web Disk Icon
Disk Space Usage - This Function gives you a snap shot view of what files are using your disk space
FTP Accounts - FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a means of transferring files to and from your server. The average user has little need for this and most times the default account is all you need. You will need a third party FTP program to access your files. There is a Video tutorial you can watch after you click the icon.
FTP Session Control - You can use this function to see who is currently logged into your site through FTP. You can also terminate any FTP connections to your site that you feel should not be open.
Anonymous FTP - You can allow users to connect to your anonymous FTP directory without having a password to login. This may be useful if you have files that you wish to be publicly available for download.

Log Section
The Logs area is maybe the most useful to the website owner. The stats are endless on who is visiting your site, from what country at what time of day and what site they came from. They show the most often used search terms to get to your site, the type of computer and browser and where they went on your site.
Below I will explain the icons and functions of each. (The Most Useful are in BLUE)
Latest Visitors - This is an outdated module and not functioning
Bandwidth - This function allows you to see the bandwidth usage for your site. It shows the current month's bandwidth usage as well as your total bandwidth usage.
Webalizer - Webalizer is a complex stats program that produces a variety of charts and graphs about who has visited your site. Click to see a sample report
Webalizer FTP - Webalizer FTP is a complex stats program that produces a variety of charts and graphs about who has visited your site using ftp protocol.
Raw Access Logs - Raw Access Logs allow you to see who has accessed your site without the use of graphs, charts or other graphics.
Analog Stats - Analog produces a simple summary of all the people who have visited your site. It is fast and provides great lightweight statistics. Click to see a sample report
Error log - This function will display the last 300 errors for your site. This can be very useful for determining what links are broken on your site, or what files do not exist that should.
Choose Log Program - This area is locked down
Awstats - Awstats produces visual statistics about visitors of your site. Click to see a sample report
(Awstats is my favorite of the logs)
